    1700

  2. 1700's

    Appuldurcombe House was built in the early 1700s by John James for Sir Robert Worsley, it's grounds were landscaped by Capability Brown. This surround was held residence in the Drawing room.

  3. 1980's

    Appuldurcombe House was reduced to a shell in WW2 by a German bomb. The surround was privately purchased at auction in the 1980s and found a new home in central London.

  4. 2026

    The fireplace was so treasured by its former owner that it was again relocated with him to Bournemouth, it is from here that we acquired the piece.
